Why are black cats evil or bad luck?

Hey fam! (always wanted to say that) What's up?

We all know why witches are evil. They are witches. Witches are evil.

But why are black cats evil or bad luck?

Ooooo *ghost voice*
Because I'm a cat lover, every Halloween season (and every time I think of the superstition of black cats crossing your path being bad luck), I've always found it unfair that black cats are singled out from other cats and called evil. I mean, the poor poor widdle kitties! *kitty-cooing voice*

So in honor of Halloween (which is over but so what), let's take a look at WHY black cats are evil.

And I choose you, Wiki-chu! (Pokemon reference)

BUT BEFORE THAT, let's think logically and rationally on our own before relying on Wiki-chu's powers.

Black cats. Why could they be evil or bad luck? Here are my guesses:

1. Because they are black and black is associated with darkness and the unknown.
2. Because a woman who was thought of to be a witch, owned a black cat and because she was the first ever identified witch, it became known to all that black cats are evil, or bad luck.
3. Because shadows are creepy and darkness and associated with demons and possession, and black cats are kinda like shadows, they are then thought of as evil.

Let's see if I'm right at all, shall we?

On the Abe Administration: A Japanese Person Speaks Her Mind

I bet a lot of you read up on Japanese politics.
Why? Simple, we change Prime Minister's every few years...almost :P
In the U.S. and maybe other countries, you can probably name your Presidents mostly in order.

Japan is like, meh, forget it.

Anyway, ever since the BIG election in the U.S., and the BIG election for the FEMALE Governess of Tokyo (Ms. Koike), I started to pay even more attention to politics. And if you know me, I am half-Japanese and half-American and I've spent almost all my years in Japan except for the two-and-a-half years of my childhood in the States. And if you know me, I'm in my 20s (at the point of this post). And if you know me, on my blog I don't talk about politics...at all or very little.

But this time I have to. I think it's important for other people to know what some Japanese think of PM Abe. Now, I'm not speaking for everyone and I certainly do know that a bunch of Japanese of all ages support PM Abe.

I for one am not for PM Abe anymore.

Wait, anymore? Yes. Anymore. Here are my reasons:

The GREAT REVEAL

I am human.

Wow.

doge

Seriously now,

What If...I was WRONG? (Debunking My Theories and Thoughts)

Exactly a month has passed since my last post...but of course, if you're new you won't know that. Well, now you do :P

I'd like to address some theories and philosophical thoughts of mine I had years back.

Here are the stuffs I claimed:

1. John Titor is a real person AND a real time traveler.

2. The idea that something = nothing.

3. I'm a realist.

4. Wanting and Needing are two separate things. You can want something but you may not need it.

5. Galligator: Her Royal Randomness is NOT N. J. Folettia.

The last one is probably a conspiracy theory about myself that I created for myself or rather, I tried to.

Let's address that first and get it out of the way, shall we? :)

Rejecting Obligation: Natural Human Instinct?

If you "have to" clean your room, you automatically feel like you don't want to or you rather not.

If you "have to" do homework, you feel you really don't want to.

Or, if you "need to" get a job, you might feel you don't want to and make up excuses like "I'm not ready."

These "have to"s and "need to"s are obligation words like "must" or "should".

When we are told that we have to do something, do we not all instantly reject it?

What if...an Extrovert, Ambivert, and Introvert were locked in a room?

My imagination (or theory if you want to be professional) of what would happen (p.s. I'm an ambivert).

The extrovert will take it upon themselves, as extroverts always do, to try to be the leader to get us out.
But, they won't come up with any really good ideas. Just a bunch of sporadic ideas flinging out like a softball batting machine.
I'm not saying they ALL are like this but I feel most extroverts aren't very observant. It's not a bad thing. They just aren't.

The introvert, on the other hand,

Philosophical Musings: What we see is not what we see.

When I'm academically tired, I tend to become a philosopher *says "philosopher" with a high-class British accent*

I started wondering about reality.

I call myself a realist so why not think about it more?

When you look at pretty purple flowers (because that's when my thoughts came) are you really looking at purple flowers?

I have heard that each person may see colors differently. My purple might not be the same as your purple.

But then, it got me thinking. What if all that we see wasn't actually what it was?

We are all limited to one perception, our own. We can only see through our own eyes and, based on our understanding of the world up until this point in time, only understand things based on what we already know from past experiences. If we see something that we have never seen before, we still understand it to some degree because we connect it to things we already know.

So. What I'm asking here is, what if all the things we thought we knew, weren't actually true? What if everything was not as it seems? (Swan Princess reference).

For example,

Should YouTube Animators do a "Face Reveal"?

Inspired by Jaiden Animations, especially this video, I've come to wonder why people are so intrigued to see who the Wizard is behind the curtain.

If good things are coming out, then why should we even bother knowing who is behind the curtain? WHY DOES IT MATTER SO MUCH?

Coke vs Pepsi: 2 SIX Speculations on the Rivalry Between Coke & Pepsi

NOTE: These are only my personal opinions and speculations. I am not bashing Coke or Pepsi. If Coke or Pepsi sees this, I hope you guys find it entertaining.

Now that's cleared up...

In Coke vs Pepsi: 1
we found out the Similarities and Differences of Coke and Pepsi.

Here's what we can say from the last article.

Why Coke seems to be more popular than Pepsi:
Sad to say, when Coke and Pepsi were growing, America was in its racially divided era. Coke targeted white folk, Pepsi (such a sweetling) targeted the black folk and other minority (such as Asians like me :P ).

What happened to Pepsi:
Because Pepsi target the minority, I think they were slow to ride the road of popularity. They did, eventually, but, sad to say, if they had targeted the majority of the population, they may have gained more traction in the national market of America. Pepsi may never be able to grab the "national icon" status out of Coca-Cola's hands.

Pepsi, what happened between you and Coke?
Yeah, what is this rivalry thing? This Cola Wars thing? What's going on? Pepsi, there's a rivalry, right? Why doesn't Coke talk about it on it's Wiki page?

Some people wrote a book on it.

Speculation 1: Coke is Pepsi's idol. Pepsi loves this rivalry thing, even jokes about it. Coke believes it is the only one making the brown bubbly drink. There is no rivalry.

As all companies go, if there is another company doing something similar and becoming popular doing it, they will pose a threat to them. So, in simpler words,

Disney Family Tree: Mickey and Minnie have...what???

So, ever wonder where all the family of the Disney staple characters are?

Ever notice how we mostly see nephews, uncles, girlfriends of the same species, a few fathers and a few mothers?

Mickey Mouse has nephews and a girlfriend called Minnie Mouse, who he NEVER marries as far as I know.

Let's talk about that! (GMM reference)

So according to Wikipedia, Mickey Mouse has an older sister "Amelia Fieldmouse" or another name is "Felicity Fieldmouse". I've certainly never known about this. Did you guys know? Here's what she looks like.

Which name do you think suits her best?

Misheard Lyrics: Kid Me

When I was a little kid I often sang songs after listening to them over and over. So most of the time I didn't get the lyrics right. Here are some I remember. See if you can guess where some of them are from. A lot of the lyrics don't make sense because when you're little, you don't care whether it makes sense or not because the singing is fun.

You're off to see the wizard
The wonderful Wizard of Oz
And merely he's the wizard of
the wizzy wizzy was
and there-idly go
because because because because
because because because because
because because
BECAUSE!
Because of the wonderful things he does
(music)
You're off to see the wizard
The wonderful Wizard of Oz!

Now this next one I have to confess, I just recently learned the true lyrics. Like 2017. This year, guys. THAT recent.
Here is what I thought it was for a loooong time:

Makeup Shaming: NOT STUPID but I don't like it

I would like to...apologize if I sounded harsh in a bad way in my "If...scenario" about "If...women weren't forced to wear makeup". You can go find it. It's under the label you think it's under.

I would like to say to Makeup Artists that

Why My Parents Find Modern Dance (hip-hop etc.) BORING

There's a problem. Idk if it's just my parents but when I showed them this:

Thank you to Anthony Ying for uploading the full audition of Boyband :)

I showed it to them because I thought it was AWESOME!!!

But they were like meh :/

So it's late at night and I'm watching it again for the idk-how-many-th time, I'm thinking "Why do I think it's AWESOME but they don't?"

Guess what? You CAN Travel into the Future...sort of

First, here is the question I'm going to ask me and me will answer it. Me like mind-bending questions (Cookie Monster reference).

Is there actually a way to travel to the future before it gets ahead of us again? Can we step foot into the future?

Let's talk about that! :D (Good Mythical Morning reference).

Despite the fact that we are always told that we all have a future to look forward to, we never seem to get to it.

The only way to get to it is to have a Time Machine like John Titor and go see yourself.

Time Traveler Me: Hi, me. How are ya?
Future Me: GREAT SCOTT! A DOPPELGANGER! *passes out*

Reference to this ancient quote from a movie from the past
that is about traveling to the future from the 80s to the 60s
and back again or something like that.
I forgot. My past self watched it. She remembers it better.
But what if, through some strange fate of time (whatever that is :/ ), we could actually step foot into the future before we lose it again?

Oh, those (FAKE) theory vids: A Rant

This is rant on theory vids! (Sing it like "This is a shout-out to my ex!" Yes, Little Mix! :D )

So...that recommended video list had a video about why Stitch changes from being the bad behaving 626 to the family loving Stitch.

Now, don't go anywhere guys because it's not like I don't

I'm an Incomplete Package: Being a Japanese-American in Japan

This article is all about me, people like me, people, and er, culture.

Yup.

If you've read any of my previous articles, I probably mentioned I live in Japan. I also probably mentioned that my Mom's American and my Dad's Japanese. Maybe I haven't but now I have.

While I have lived in Japan since I was two-and-a-half years old, I'm not completely utterly Japanese...as you can tell. I write in English, perfectly and I speak English, obviously. Well, if you've seen Galligator's vids er, my vids, er, well, anyway.

I'm also not completely utterly Japanese because I was exposed to a lot of American culture through videos taped by my grandmother (who I call Nana). So I've watched Arthur, Magic School Bus, Pink Panther, Cartoon Network, Hamtaro (in English),

movies in English, Disney, Pixar, Teletubbies,

Yup, that weird as ish show with the baby sun thing.

Lizzie McGuire Show,
oh my gosh, the memories...
The TV show that had a very
intimate kissing scene.
oh my gosh.
Hannah Montana, Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny, etc., etc., etc.

I knew what the American culture was like. I knew that. BUT, I also didn't know it. Let me explain.

Why is LOVE turned into a product like movies, books, music, etc?

Romanticized = through movies, books, and other forms of fun things we can buy to entertain ourselves

Producized = turned into products like movies, books, and other forms of fun things we can buy to entertain ourselves (apparently it is not a word so let me just quickly own coiner ship for this ish, yep, I invented this word. Let's put that out there.)

My questions are, why is love turned into products? Why is it producized? Why do we need it to be producized? Why has it become producized? Are "people" (the ambiguous "them") afraid that we won't look for love or be involved in love if it isn't producized?

If...women weren't forced to wear makeup...

These days it seems that the natural look is the look that is in.

You know, "in"?

Many celebs like Lady Gaga seem to have gone for a natural look of natural-color makeup or no makeup.

It's kinda sad I recognized Sofia Vergara from the right-hand side
pic as she has commonly been seen on Ellen.
She looks fine on the left, too.
I never wear makeup.

I see it as a good thing. I mean, makeup is expensive, it can damage your skin, it's fake, and there's lots of bad stereotypes for women who wear too much makeup.

I don't think women should be forced to wear makeup anymore. Sure in the medieval days they HAD to because it was part of the fashion and in those days everything was very gender-separated.

But now, today, there are too many genders to keep track of so what's the point of wearing makeup anymore besides hiding blemishes or wrinkles?

I have no problem with older people wearing makeup or people with Acne wearing makeup. But the rest of us? Nah, we don't need that ish.

Now, back to the title...imagine a world where women are not forced to wear makeup and answer to the social gender stereotypes.

Asexuality: What it is and How I found out that I was Ace

January 22, 2017
I am not ashamed in anyway or uncomfortable in anyway to tell you all, on the internet, for goodness gracious, that I am Ace. And this is my story. I am sharing this here for two reasons:

1. Cuz lots of Ace people feel isolated or frustrated and I wanna tell them they are not alone.

2. Cuz one day my Mom might read this.

So, without further ado, here we go...

Ace = Asexual

It means I don't feel sexual attractions toward others like I don't see a guy as hot (sexy) but I can tell why he would be because I follow pop culture.

It does not mean I practice celibacy. That's a choice. Mine, I have no choice. I was born with this.

I KNOW you will say, "You haven't found the right guy yet."

Or, "You haven't experienced sex yet."

Or, "You haven't dated anyone, how the heck would you know?"

But I do know.

7 Types of Dreams Based on Personal Experience

Inspired by Lilly Singh! Types of Dreams

Oh Lilly you make me laugh so hard XD

The peeing dream though...so real.

Anyway, if you know about me and dreams (which you don't so let me tell you) I have a pretty good memory of dreams. Maybe it's because I write stories and my imagination can grab hold of a story and never let it go (no we will not sing "Let It Go". I am not letting it go.)

Or maybe it's because I write down my dreams sometimes...especially if it's epic.

So here are some types of dreams I've had and you can tell me if you've experienced similar dreams or not.

1. Recurring Theme Dreams (all in a short span of time)

One week for 3 days (right after another) I had dreams that were about

The Funny Thing About University: Friends Change

I never talk about my personal, like, really really really personal life that is school.

Even though I'm a realist, I don't talk about the most real thing in my life: SCHOOL

I added the words. Ain't that font cool? :D
It's not my font but it's cool as ish.
Yeah.

The funny thing about university...and I hate to sound real and ish but...you don't get to keep the same friends you had in your freshman year, first semester.

So let's break it down and let me reassure you that it's going to be okay:

What is the right way to...? ABCDEFGoogle Search!

You might have noticed, I haven't posted an article from this blog in a while. But let me tell you, I've got tons of drafts and lots of content waiting to be written. So let's start off with the good old ABCDEFGoogle Search!

What is the right way to...? and then a, b, c...etc. and I will answer the questions. When I'm being serious, I will tell you, savvy? (Captain Jack Sparrow reference).

We all wanna know what the right way to do things are. So, here goes!

What is the right way to...
apply foundation?

Well, you take a sponge thing and you take some powder stuff, and you put it all over your face. Simple and easy. Pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat...smear...oops, my mascara!
If those are her hands, she is either a contortionist or an alien.
