Theory: Anna and Elsa really ARE sisters. Some people say "no".

I have heard theories that Anna and Elsa are not sisters because of their hair color and that Elsa is actually the fraternal twin of Rapunzel????

Watching all of this will take over 14 minutes if the link doesn't work so try HERE. Focus on the part where he says "blond hair".

Elsa does not have blond hair.

And let me point out one little thing you theory people may have missed.


Anna's little white strand of hair she gets when she is little.

In the beginning of the movie when they are both little, Elsa accidentally hits her with her frost and Anna begins to freeze from the INSIDE. That is why a strand of hair is white. It wasn't her heart and it wasn't so devastating that the troll was able to heal her, sort of...well, changing her memory apparently did the trick. I'm guessing it was just a severe brain freeze that knocked her unconscious and that was the only thing.

When she is again hit by Elsa's frost, it hits her heart,

as you can see in this incredibly cringy song. Also note that Elsa says "I can't control the curse." Which we must note is interesting as her father in the beginning says,

"Uh,born. And they're getting stronger." He says it like either he's caught off guard or really doesn't know if she was born with it or not. Yet Elsa seems certain that it is not just A curse but THE curse.

Proof. 

Also note here that the trolls tell her to fear her powers which is bad if she wants to control her powers because then if she fears them she can't control them. She seemed fine before the accident.

Anyway, after Elsa hits Anna with her Frost Powers, Anna's heart starts to freeze, and her hair becomes whiter.

As we see, Anna's hair gets whiter and whiter.

Towards the end of the movie, she looks like Elsa with double braids.

Why does her hair become white?

Well, what does the heart pump? Blood.

Elsa's powers are not to freeze. As I said, they are Frost Powers. She doesn't shoot out icicles. Her powers are just frost, which she can, to some extent control and make it either snow or ice (or sometimes living creatures).

Let me emphasize this point: Elsa's powers are NOT TO FREEZE. Her powers are JUST TO SHOOT OUT FROST. She DOES NOT shoot out snow or ice. She creates snow or ice with differing degrees of frost. Quick-freezing frost to shoot out ice-barriers or make stairs while walking up them, slow-freezing frost to make snow creatures or any other delicate things, large amounts at quick speeds to make ice castles...etc.

When she hits Anna, she hits her with frost. The frost enters Anna's heart which then pumps the frost into the bloodstreams of Anna's body. Frosty blood everywhere. She begins to slowly freeze from the INSIDE.

On the other hand, Elsa's hair is completely white. It can be suggested that Elsa's bloodstream has frost in it, but since it is her own powers, she does not slowly freeze from the INSIDE and "the cold never bothered [her] anyway".

In other words, Anna's heart is NOT built to take in the frost and it CANNOT bond with the frost to keep her from dying. Anna does die.

Elsa's heart IS built to take in the frost and CAN bond with the frost AND keep her from dying. If the bonding didn't happen, Elsa would not be able to exist.


Kind of like Alice from "Resident Evil" who can bond with the deadly virus and become a superhuman.

If Elsa did not have these frost powers, she would probably end up having brown hair or red hair like her sister.

Also, if BOTH sisters had the same frost powers, they would probably look like identical twins.

This shows how Anna and Elsa are STILL SISTERS, duh!

Note: I do not delve into the fact that Elsa did make a dress with her powers and that dress didn't seem to melt and looked like cloth. I also don't mention the fact that we don't know if it is a curse or if she is born with those powers. If it is a curse, we might have to start wondering why she needs to be cursed. What did she ever do? Or rather, what did her parents ever do?

I also don't mention the fact that the trolls don't seem to really care if Elsa or Anna suffer or die. They invoke fear in a little girl, sing a long song about getting married, and give a dying girl a riddle that she needs to figure out while she is dying.
